If you're looking for someone to be in your corner, hear you out, & partner with you to address the challenges in your life we may be a good match. My style is warm, direct, structured, and energetic. I have over ten years of experience treating adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, persistent emotional dysregulation, self-harming, or suicidality. I can tell you with confidence it can get better & there are things we can do to make positive change. My goal is to work myself out of a job and I can't wait to see you feel empowered to build the life you want to live. I am excited to work with you!

If you're looking for someone who will listen without judgment, cheer-lead you every step of the way and hold you accountable, let's get to work. Your time, resources, and energy are so valuable and you've already been working so hard to manage everything, so let's make the most out of your time.

I graduated from California State University, Chico with a Masters of Social Work in 2015 and received on-the-job comprehensive DBT training just after graduating and have been passionately devoted to this work ever since. I have received additional training from Portland DBT Institute as well as BTECH, and have been supervised by LBC-Certified Psychologists.

I love working with people in general –the more variety the better.  Most of my experience is with adolescents through adulthood (13 to 64 years old).  I currently see only adults. My style is direct, warm and irreverent. Let’s build a life worth living together.  I have extensive training with Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open - Dialectic Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

A lot of my comprehensive DBT work is with Gender Diverse and Neuro-Spicy folks. This community is dear to my heart. Supporting transitions, or coming out, or the struggle of the current political climate is important to me.  I have joined with many people in this journey and I am honored by their stories.

Neuro-divergence - Brains are fascinating.  Whether you are diagnosed or not.  Curious, exploring, struggling with coping with diagnosis and want to learn.  I am here for all of it.  I continue to learn from clients and work to apply what adaptations I can from traditional therapies.  The research wheels turn slowly and we don’t have the answers yet. I don’t think that medicine or therapy have all the answers.  I am happy to try what I have learned and listen to your feedback.

My graduate degree is from University of Maryland, Baltimore.  I worked in child welfare for almost 10 years before starting private practice.  I have been working with DBT since then.  I have gobbled up training from Btech, PESI and Psychotherapy Networker as well as a variety of more informal sources.  I have been working in DBT for 15+ years.  My current passion is figuring out what modifications need to be made to help the neuro-diverse population.  Mindfulness Treatment can be complicated and ineffective, if only taught one way.  Come to group.  We have a good time.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in trauma and borderline personality disorder. I approach therapy with the belief that increased insight, effective coping skills, and a strong therapeutic relationship are key to creating positive change. I approach therapy from a multicultural, holistic, and intersectional perspective that takes into account your varied identities.

My style is a mix of warmth, humor, and directness. If you are wanting a therapist who can kindly hold your feet to the fire, and enjoy a well-timed irreverent pun, you will enjoy working with me.

I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University, an APA accredited program. I completed my pre-doctoral internship training and my postdoctoral fellowship training at VA Puget Sound- American Lake, specializing in PTSD and DBT. I have worked in a variety of settings, including a partial hospital program, an inpatient unit, a college counseling center, private practice, and Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Centers.

I completed a foundational DBT training with Behavioral Tech and am trained in DBT-PE. I have been practicing DBT and running skills groups for several years. I work with folks in Washington, New York, and all PsyPact states.
